ADVANTAGES:
-Unmatched and more elegant finished look after polish as compared to steel/GI chogaths
-Door when closed produce a solid wooden sound as compared to steel chogaths
-Door when closed stays even along the chogath patam surface whereas in steel chogaths the door remains uneven
-2″ thick door or 1.5″ thick door both sizes can be adjusted on wooden chogatht whereas in steel, standard pressed sheets available for making can only accomodate 1.5″ thick doors, for 2″ thick doors special order has to be placed
-Steel chogaths get rusted with time
Disadvantages:
-Expensive as compared to steel chogaths
-If proper anti termite steps not taken during construction of house, termite will cause major concerns
-If proper seasoned and dried wood not used for making of chogaths again it will cause problems.
